The Queen of the Fjords
If you are drawn to the water, you can take Beffen across the city fjords in just 6 minutes or set sail for a mini fjord cruise: From Bergen, it goes to idyllic Mostraumen, through the Osterfjord with its steep mountains and fresh waterfalls. The trip takes 3 hours and starts at Zacharias Bridge right next to the fish market square.
To dive deeper into the fjord landscape, we recommend a detour to the beautiful Sognefjord, Norway's longest fjord. The region around Voss is a great place for hiking, and in winter there are cross-country skiing trails and skiing fun for the whole family. Voss is just over an hour's train ride from Bergen.
